It's Not Just An Ordinary Chinese New Year ☺

February 3, 2011
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
新年快樂! xīn nián kuài lè!
恭喜發財! gōng xǐ fā cái!
If you must know, NO I AM NOT KOREAN!:) I'm like 75% Chinese and 25% Filipino. Every year, we celebrate Chinese New Year by following some simple traditions of having offerings which we call "alay" and the Dragon Dance.

Days before this day,one of my college friends Zoe asked me if he could celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. Result? He and my other college friends celebrated Chinese New Year with us! It was very heartwarming that they were all really excited for this day to come!Well, for me it wasn't really a big deal, growing up from a Chinese family, and all my life I've been seeing these things. But this year,it was not an ordinary Chinese New Year for all of us! :) I had fun that day because of them! They were all curious about so many things, and I loved it, because at least I get to share with them our Chinese traditions :)

Sweet 19th Birthday!

January 31, 2011
It was a Monday,so I was supposed to have my one and only class which is COMGRAP, it's from 8am to 11am. But I didn't go to school, because I slept late Sunday night, because I was going "gaga" over the Koreanovela "Full House". Since, it's my birthday I thought my dad would allow me to be absent, and he did!Hee! :))

My day started right, because of a phone call from my very good friend Angela De Dios, she called me just to greet me, she thought that I was in school. But it was so sweet!:)) Then,I've read a sweet message from someone whom I've never thought she'd remember my day, and the sweet messages kept on coming. :)

I wasn't really excited about my birthday this year, because I'm really contented with life now, there's nothing more I could ask for. I'm happy with everything I have now. My family, friends and GOD. So,if I have everything now,do I still wish for me to have a boyfriend?Yes,of course. But not now,it's not my priority. I'm too busy catching other blessings falling from Heaven! :)  There's a time for everything, and I'm not in a hurry to be with that someone, because I know that God's right time will come. I also believe that he is just there waiting for God's time. So why worry? :)

I spent this last teenage birthday celebration with the most important people in my life.....My loving family :) Yes,I consider the boyfriends of my sisters as family. They're my big brothers!Well, the eldest will be getting married at the end of the year,so her boyfriend is now the fiance. I love all of them! They are the best blessings from God. The best way to spend your special day is to be with your family.

We had dinner at Johnny Rockets in Timog. I really wanted to try that restaurant since forever! They also have one in Eastwood, but it was so far from our house. When we got there, the waiters were dancing. The ambience was really nice. We felt like we're in "Pop Tates"-the diner in Archie comics.
Dancing Waiters
unlimited french fries(back) with their "happy" catsup
I forgot what I ordered, but I honestly didn't like their food.
The Strawberry-Banana Milkshake was GREAT though :)
The waiters danced and sang for me.They're so sweet!
They also gave me a birthday card!
I LOVE THEM!
I don't feel old :)
